The Edge of Life

Love, Ride, Repeat

From sandy beaches

to the mountains and the snow,

from endless sunrise,

we travel to the edge

of everlasting alpenglow.

With you, my darling,

I shall journey

through happiness and pain,

because you are my one and only,

And that forever you’ll remain.

You fight your own demons

as I keep fighting mine,

but then as we rise,

to face our mornings,

we realize the sun again will shine.

Bodies tangled in our warm bed

on your sculpted chest I lay my weary head,

we are here today, right now,

please, please, place your hands on me,

as only you know how.

And believe me when I say I know,

that this poem is as corny as they go,

but, today, this very moment, it is me,

  this is how I feel,

and this is how I want to be.
